To indicate north in the diagram section, choose Add Arrow to Map from the High Tech Forms menu and select the appropriate arrow.

Add or remove a crash diagram

Create a graphic file in a paint or drawing program and save it as Windows Bitmap, JPG, or GIF. Choose Import Crash Scene Image from the High Tech Forms menu. Your drawing will be resized if necessary to fit the diagram space.

You can also draw the diagram on paper, scan it into your computer, and import the scanned graphic.

To remove the graphic, choose Remove Crash Scene Image from the High Tech Forms menu.

AutoComplete

When completing the Crash Report with Commercial Supplement, items 1 through 7 of the CRB-3 automatically transfer to the Commercial Supplement (CRB-3C).

Checking boxes

Use Tab to highlight the checkbox, then press Spacebar to check or uncheck it.

Adding vehicles

For accidents involving more than two vehicles, choose Add Vehicles from the High Tech Forms menu to add pages for the additional vehicles.

Add pages before completing the driver information on pages one and two. The command copies the first set of driver pages, including any information already entered.

Officer’s notes

To add a page for additional notes, choose Add-A-Page (Officer’s Notes) from the High Tech Forms menu.

AutoSave

Reports are saved with the naming pattern CASE_NUMBER – DATE – DRIVERS’ NAMES.doc. For example, case 123456, occurring on December 11, 2005, with drivers Williams and Batima, is saved as 123456 – 2005-12-11 – Williams – Batima.doc.

Complete Case Number (Loc. No.), Date of Accident, and driver one’s Last Name before printing or saving.

Marking the well location: Choose View > Page Layout, click the floating X graphic, and drag it into position on the location grid.

Circling answers: Choose Circle Answer from the High Tech Forms menu. A circle is created at the insertion point. Click and drag it to the answer. You can move or delete it whenever necessary.
